A las 11am.- En el Salón de Recepciones del Government Center, ubicado en el 888 Washington Blvd. Ciudad de Stamford-Connecticut. Este evento será inaugurado por nuestro ilustre invitado, el Congresista peruano Ing. Carlos Bruce Montes de Oca. Habrá una ceremonia especial donde el Honorable David Martin, alcalde de la ciudad de Stamford, dará la bienvenida a tan distinguido invitado brindándole los honores a su tan alta investidura.

Sábado 19 de Julio.- 23vo. Aniversario de la Fundación de la PACC

Celebraremos nuestra Cena de Gala en el Sheraton Stamford Hotel, ubicado en el 700 East Main Street, Stamford/Connecticut desde las 7 p.m hasta las 2 a.m. En esta Gala, contaremos con la asistencia de nuestro invitado especial, el Honorable Carlos Bruce Monte de Oca, Congresista de la República del Perú, quien será reconocido por su colega Jim Himes, Congresista Federal estadounidense de origen peruano. También estarán presentes autoridades del Estado de Connecticut, como el alcalde de Stamford, el Honorable David Martin, el Senador Federal Richard Blumenthal, el presidente de la Corte Suprema del Estado de Connecticut, el Honorable Andrew MacDonald, el Gobernador del Estado de Connecticut, el Honorable Danel P. Malloy, el Cónsul General del Perú con jurisdicción en los Estados de Connecticut y Rhode Island, el Embajador Carlos Rodolfo Zapata López y distinguidas autoridades de las ciudades de Stamford, Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven, así como también del estado de Nueva York y New Jersey.

Domingo 20 de Julio.- 23vo. Izamiento de la Bandera en la cuidad de Stamford CT

A las 2 pm.-Nuestro Pabellón Nacional será izado en el Old Town Hall (vieja alcaldía de Stamford) ubicado en Atlantic Street, (esquinas Main Street. y Bank Street.). Estarán presentes, nuestro invitado especial el congresista Carlos Bruce Montes de Oca y otras autoridades, locales, estatales y federales, representantes del Consulado General del Perú en Hartford, así como también autoridades de otras ciudades del estado. Habrá música peruana y contaremos con la participación artística de grupos de bailes folklóricos.

Después del izamiento, recepcionaremos a los asistentes con un cóctel en los salones del Night club Las Palmas.

Esta es una invitación a la Comunidad Latinoamericana y en especial a la peruana, a fin de expresar nuestra voz que reafirme nuestra presencia cívica en la ciudad de Stamford

La línea de costa peruana va hasta el Punto Concordia.

El Fallo de la Corte Internacional de Justicia (CIJ) ha separado el punto Concordia o punto 266 del punto inicio de la Frontera Marítima (PIFM). Chile intenta utilizar este hecho para apoyar su tesis de apoderarse de un territorio peruano de 3.7 ha (triángulo terrestre).

Está bien que el Perú,mediante la necesaria modificación de la Ley de Líneas de Base Nro.28621, adecúe las decisiones del Fallo, integrando los nuevos puntos contribuyentesque proyectan la frontera marítima desde las líneas de base. Pero, estaría además, proponiendo dejar sin efecto el punto 266 (coincidente con el punto Concordia), lo cual traería como consecuencia, eliminar también el sector de línea de base que corre entre el PIFM y el punto 266 o Concordia. Este último sector de la línea de costa peruana ha sido establecido, como línea de bajamar, desde 1934 y reafirmada en el 2005; no sólo para medir el mar territorial, sino también se ha constituido como el límite entre la tierra y el mar.

La propuesta al Parlamento significaría:

Dejar sin límite al espacio terrestre peruano de costa seca frente al mar chileno;

Reducir la extensión de la costa peruana hasta el PIFM,cuando le corresponde llegar hasta el punto Concordia, según el Tratado de 1929; y

Por lo tanto, se debilita la defensa del Perú sobre el triángulo de 3.7 ha, al que Chile pretende adjudicarle su soberanía.

La solución podría ser, si se aprueba dejar sin efecto elpunto 266, registrar en la ley que el punto Concordia es el punto final de la línea de costa peruana. Igualmente la leydebe establecer que este último sector de línea de bajamar, entre el punto Concordia y el PIFM, se constituye en el límite entre el territorio peruano y el mar chileno.
