“Si yo pudiera darle un consejo a Humala le diría esto: dado que el indulto a Fujimori es un asunto político, NO SERÍA MALA IDEA QUE EL PETICIONARIO FIRME, ANTES DE UNA HIPOTÉTICA GRACIA CONCEDIDA A SU ANCIANIDAD, UNA EXPLÍCITA SOLICITUD DE PERDÓN AL PUEBLO PERUANO POR LOS CRÍMENES COMETIDOS –los económicos, los institucionales, los constitucionales, los éticos y los de jurisdicción abiertamente policial- durante su gobierno. Y si no hay pedido de perdón, dado que las razones médicas se han extinguido según las pericias practicadas, que no haya indulto. Liberar a un mafioso arrogante puede ser el peor de los mensajes. General Assembly could vote on arms treaty next week

The United Nations was prevented today by Syria, North Korea and Iran from adopting a proposed international arms treaty. But the U.K., on behalf of multiple countries, sent the draft treaty to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, asking the General Assembly to vote quickly on it.
