United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says that "water stress" will affect one-half of the world's population by 2030 unless communities and governments act. Chemical-weapons chief seeks temporary cease-fire in Syria
Ahmet Uzumcu, head of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, is calling for fighting in Syria to stop temporarily so the United Nations chemical-weapons teams can meet deadlines for dismantling weapons.
