[RED DEMOCRATICA] In the Jul/Aug issue Authoritarian Revival, Iran, Mexico and More!

Academic Update - July 2009

Dear Educator:

Are we really heading towards a global authoritarian revival? In the July/August 2009 issue of Foreign Affairs, Azar Gat, Daniel Deudney and G. John Ikenberry, and Ronald Inglehart and Christian Welzel provide their answers to this contemporary debate.

Also in this issue, check out Mohsen M. Milani's "everything you need to know" article on Iran's policy towards the U.S. and Shannon O'Neil's eye-opening account of Mexico's war on drugs.
