Last night, I got this chilling message from my friend, Erika Andiola – a young civil rights leader from Arizona:
“Folks, my house just got raided by ICE and they took my mom and my brother. Can I get some help from anyone?”
Click here to help Erika fight for deferred action for her mother and brother.
DREAMers then led an overnight push to get Obama Administration officials in Washington to direct local agents to release them. Her brother was released last night and her mom was released just hours ago. But they may still be deported.
I’m asking you to please send a message to President Obama and ICE officials right now to demand that Erika’s mom and brother be granted deferred action immediately.
The Obama Administration has deported more men and women like Erika’s mom and brother than any other Administration in history. It is shameful. Sadly, situations like this happen every day in cities across our country. Erika had connections, but many DREAMers, moms and dads do not. And many of them have been disappeared.
