But a coordinated and well-funded opposition has launched a “war on international law” by spreading misinformation and weakening the Senate's willingness to ratify human rights and climate treaties. This summer, we're fighting back. Treaty opponents like the Heritage Foundation, the National Rifle Association and the Tea Party are spreading misinformation about the Women’s Equality Treaty (CEDAW), the Disability Treaty, and the Arms Trade Treaty. They are threatening to support primary challengers to any Senator who supports ratification.
