Salt Lake City – Centro Civico Mexicano, Utah Coalition of la Raza, Proyecto Latino de Utah and other community organizations will hold Press Conference at Centro Civico Mexicano to address the issue of deportations of undocumented  immigrants living in Utah.
Today, President Obama's administration took a big step by announcing the "indefinite halt of deporting undocumented immigrants who don't have criminal records. Tony Yapias, Director of Proyecto Latino de Utah said "It's about time the Obama administration has decided to take action on this matter. For too long, we have seen our families separated as a result of a father or a mother being deported" Today's announcement is the biggest news Latinos have heard on the ongoing debate over immigration reform. Latino leaders will address the possible impact to the Latino community.
