Reciban mi respetuoso saludo. Considero que es muy importante que atendamos este evento donde el Congresista Bill Pascrell, gran amigo de los Latinos, iniciara una discucion sobre la Reforma Comprensiva de Inmigracion que pronto provocara un gran debate en el Senado.

Es realmente crucial que nos mantengamos unidos en este asunto, ya que toca a todos directa o indirectamente, pero sobre todo es un asunto que toca nuestra diginidad y nuestro concepto de unidad.

Passaic County Coalition for Immigrant Rights respalda esta iniciativa de nuestro congresista y estara presente en este evento para contribuir con su granito de arena al buen desarrollo del mismo.

Working Group on the Right to Development

Fourteenth Session

Room XXVI, Palais des Nations, Geneva

The fourteenth annual session of the Working Group will be held from 13-17 May 2013 in Room XXVI, Palais des Nations. At this session, the Working Group will pursue its work on the consideration of the draft operational sub-criteria for the implementation of the right to development in accordance with the recommendations endorsed at its thirteenth session. The sub-criteria are contained in document A/HRC/15/WG.2/TF/2/Add.2, which can be found on OHCHR’s website.

The provisional agenda, the tentative programme of work and other relevant documentation of the fourteenth session will be made available at the following address: http://www.ohchr.org/EN/Issues/Development/Pages/14thSession.aspx.

Please note that while this message is being sent to all interested civil society actors, participation is limited to those NGOs with consultative status with ECOSOC.

Please confirm the names of your representatives participating in the meeting to: r2d@ohchr.org.

Background

The Working Group was established in 1998 with a mandate to: (a) monitor and review progress in the promotion and implementation of the right to development; (b) review reports and other information submitted by States, United Nations agencies, other relevant international and non-governmental organizations; and (c) present a sessional report to the Human Rights Council on its deliberations.

LIMA, Perú (AP) — Ante el revuelo causado por una denuncia contra el embajador de Ecuador en Lima, Perú pidió al gobierno ecuatoriano que considere el retiro del diplomático, quien fue acusado por dos mujeres peruanas de haberlas agredido a patadas y haberlas maltratado verbalmente con insultos racistas.

El canciller Rafael Roncagliolo dio a conocer el martes, a través de la emisora Radioprogramas, un comunicado en el que se señala que la información oficial disponible sobre los hechos "amerita el pedido que ha sido formulado al Ecuador para que considere el retiro de su embajador en Perú".
