Updated information: UN-NGLS Consultation on 4 Post-2015 Reports The consultation facilitated by UN-NGLS in partnership with the Post-2015 Development Planning Team/Executive Office of the Secretary-General is now launched in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish. The consultation gathers critical analysis from civil society on four post-2015 reports submitted to the UN Secretary-General: 1) High-level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda (Post-2015 HLP) 2) UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) 3) UN Global Compact (UNGC) 4) UN Development Group (UNDG): The Global Conversation Begins. (This preliminary UNDG report is now included because the final is not expected until September.) The deadline for submitting written contributions in English, Spanish and French is 12 July 2013. Open letter by the High Commissioner on human rights in the Post-2015 Agenda On 6 June 2013, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights issued an open letter to all Member States urging them to further and fully reflect human rights in the on-going discussions and outcomes on the Post-2015 development agenda. The letter highlights 10 critical human rights messages that must guide and be included in the post-2015 development frameworks, its goals, targets and indicators. More information is available online. 23rd session of the Human Rights Council concludes The Human Rights Council concluded its 23rd regular session, held from 27 May-14 June, by adopting 26 resolutions that address a wide range of issues, including the human rights of migrants, the role of freedom of opinion and expression in women\'s empowerment, foreign debt and human rights, the right to education, and human rights and international solidarity, amongst others. In addition, numerous side events were held, including one on "Political Transitions and Women\'s Rights: Views from the Ground" and on "Forgotten conflicts, still a responsibility." More information is available online. 12th Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues held at UNHQ The 12th session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) was held at UN Headquarters in New York from 20-31 May. Around 2,300 indigenous participants, delegates of Member States, representatives of UN agencies discussed culture, education and health during this session, which included a special focus on youth and on indigenous groups in Africa. Accountability and indicators for development: OHCHR hosts events on human rights and post-2015 Three events were held at UNHQ in May 2013 addressing human rights, accountability, and indicators of development in the post-2015 development agenda. These events referred to two OHCHR publications, Human Rights Indicators: A Guide to Measurement and Implementation, and Who Will Be Accountable?
