International Women's Day Sign our petition urging Congress to ratify CEDAW! SIGN THE PETITION! Dear Friend, Today is International Women's Day -- a day when women all over the world are recognized for their achievements. Today we should reflect on past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women. Help us honor women and their past, present, and future accomplishments. Sign our petition urging Congress to ratify CEDAW! One sure way for the United States to lead the world in advancing women's rights is for us to ratify the international women's treaty: the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). The U.S. is 1 of only 7 countries in the world who have not yet ratified this important treaty - keeping us in the company of human rights abusers like Iran, Sudan, and Somalia.   Join us in making women's rights a priority by signing our petition urging Congress to ratify CEDAW!
