UN: Aid to Mali must look at the long term

Global efforts to help Mali will have to continue beyond the end of armed conflict, the United Nations says. "There is malnutrition, drug trafficking, a lack of development, governance problems. Even if this crisis is temporarily resolved, the international community must look at the longer term," said David Gressly, who leads UN humanitarian efforts in the Sahel region.
