Ahn took office in 2002 after several years in the corporate sector. He used his private sector experience to improve city efficiency, build ties with North Korea, and turn Incheon into a cutting-edge international city. Mayor Ahn will speak about his commitment to the further development of both Incheon and Korea, and his vision of creating a 'Compact Smart City.' This vision would transform Incheon into a self-sufficient, technologically advanced, eco-friendly city that could serve as a model for the rest of the world.
