Dear David, Congratulations again on a great action last week! Our work is paying off. Last week, more than 25,000 phone calls poured into the White House while over 50 communities held prayer vigils across the nation, including an interfaith event in Washington, DC on June 17th. So you can see how we did in the states, here is a list of the number of calls made by state last week. And here is a list of the n umber of Cell Phone Action Network subscribers by state this week. (We grew the list by over 6,000 people. Nice work!)Here's where the situation stands...The White House confirmed that the President will host a meeting on Thursday, June 25th with Representatives and Senators who represent a wide range of perspectives on the issue of immigration reform. This meeting, as White House staff have described publicly, will "ring the bell" on the start of the effort to get a bill passed in Congress. Now, more than ever, we need to project the same momentum and excitement that have carried us this far. In Congress, House Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid have both said that immigration reform is next in line after health care and energy reform. Reid said he wanted immigration reform to happen this year, and he said he had the votes. News reports have suggested that the President is attempting to downplay expectations of this meeting, but we're not going to let that happen. What we want is a road map toward getting a bill passed this year. This is what we need to do... - Generate faxes to Congress! Later today, we'll be sending Peruvian American Political Action Committee of New Jersey a draft email action alert -- with your partner code merged in -- to adapt and send to your list tomorrow (Weds). I know it's late notice, but please send it if you are able. Last time we did a Campaign-wide fax alert, over 80 organizations sent out the alert, generating almost 200,000 faxes to Congress. When we all pitch in, the results are extraordinary.
- Spread the message! On Wednesday, June 24th, the Reform Immigration FOR America Campaign will hold a national telephonic press briefing to prepare the media for the White House meeting the next day.
- Listen in on the Campaign's Next State of Play Call on Thursday, June 25th at 5 PM Eastern Time, following the White House Meeting. To receive call-in information and materials, please e-mail rsvp@immigrationforum.org

Generate calls to the White House. We are sending out text messages to parts of the list over the next 3-5 days (so you may get a text message any time between now and then) beginning at noon today encouraging folks to call the White House and tell Obama we want immigration reform. Our hook is letting people know that the fight with Congress starts Thursday and that Obama still needs to hear from us over and over. The number of calls we made last week was phenomenal and was noticed by the White House -- but we need people to keep calling. Here are the numbers we are using for calls to the White House. English: 1-866-961-2143 | Spanish: 1-866-583-2908 We are doing it over 3-5 days because we may ask parts of the list to make calls after the White House meeting in case we need a response to the meeting. No one on the list will get more than one national text message this week asking them to make a call. Please note: Supporters in AZ, TX, FL, and NY will not receive the message to call the White House. Instead, they will be asked to call their Senator, who may be attending the meeting on Thursday. Here are the numbers we are using for those calls:
Arizona - English:1-866-974-8813 Spanish:1-866-587-3023 Florida - English: 1-866-572-7042 Spanish: 1-866-943-8027 Texas - English: 1- 866-956-3902 Spanish:1- 866-956-1737 New York - English: 1-866-967-6018 Spanish: 1-866-584-3962 We've got the meeting we asked for. Now it's time to confirm the votes!
