Today is the first day that eligible DREAMers around the country can fill out paperwork that could permit them to work and drive without fear of deportation.  Though it’s only a temporary fix, it’s a critically important step in achieving our goal of permanent immigration reform.

You signed petitions and sent faxes to stop deportations -- and succeeded.  Now, the cumulative effect of all of your efforts is unfolding from coast to coast:  The first of an estimated 1.7 million DREAMers can begin applying for protection from deportation starting today.  Wow.
