Majority of UN aid convoys blocked by Syria during Sept.
Only six of 33 United Nations aid convoys during September reached their destinations in Syria, according to an upcoming UN report. Separately, an internal board of inquiry will investigate the fatal attack on a UN convoy, said Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday.

The six-country Gulf Cooperation Council on Saturday called for the United Nations to intervene in Syria and put a halt to the fighting. Meanwhile, UN humanitarian chief Stephen O'Brien decried the continuing conflict in Aleppo, including continuing airstrikes on hospitals.
