A global meeting is being held at the Food and Agriculture Organization this week to discuss how to improve governance of world food markets, writes Jose Graziano da Silva, director-general of the FAO. The meeting needs to look at "whether the world needs stronger, more inclusive governance for agricultural commodities that can contribute to broader, longer-term international goals, development and the well-being of producers," he argues.
