[RED DEMOCRATICA] World Parliament Now!!

 

Citizens for Global Solutions Education Fund

Join the 2nd Annual Global Week of Action for
a World Parliament

We have many global challenges–failing ecosystems, human rights violations, incomplete nuclear disarmament, and a lack of regulation of financial systems, to name a few. These global problems require global solutions.

But where are the policy makers with the legitimate authority to speak from a truly global perspective?

This year, Citizens for Global Solutions chapters, members, and donors will join thousands round the world for the Global Week of Action, an annual event in October to learn about and promote the establishment of a more democratic United Nations.

Around the country, CGS chapters and groups will be

  • Staging photo opportunities and information tables for supporters to show support for global democracy and a "World Parliament Now!";

  • Hosting small public gatherings to watch a short video about global democracy or citizenship;

  • Participating in UN Day events in their communities to discuss how policy makers can transform public support for global democracy into reality.

If you or your chapter would like to participate in the 2nd annual Global Week of Action, download your guide here. The Guide include links to latest information on the Campaign for a UN Parliamentary Assembly, links to video resources and logos for signs and banners which you can use.

If you are not sure if your closest chapter is participating, email Tony Fleming, Campaigns Director, at tfleming@globalsolutions.org to find out.

If you are unable to participate in an event near you, you can add your support for global democracy and urge your Senator to support a UN Parliamentary Assembly. We will share your support with the international Campaign for the Establishment of a UN Parliamentary Assembly and keep you updated on future opportunities for promoting global democracy!
