UN panel: Foreign fighters are widespread in Syria, Iraq
More than 80 countries have citizens fighting for al-Qaida, Islamic State and other terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq, said a United Nations committee report issued Wednesday. "Numbers since 2010 are now many times the size of the cumulative numbers of foreign terrorist fighters between 1990 and 2010 -- and are growing," the report said.
