Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano Addresses CFR

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano addressed CFR this week in a speech entitled, "Common Threat, Collective Response: Protecting Against Terrorist Attacks in a Networked World." Napolitano said the United States needs to strengthen its partnerships with allies to identify threats before they become attacks. Video, audio, transcript.

 
 
New Squam Lake Paper on Retirement Saving

The Squam Lake Working Group on Financial Regulation, a nonpartisan, nonaffiliated group of fifteen academics who offer guidance on the reform of financial regulation, has released a new Working Paper titled "Regulation of Retirement Saving." This paper, the sixth in the Working Group series distributed by CFR's Center for Geoeconomic Studies, analyzes changes underway in retirement saving and recommends measures that will improve the performance of the nation's retirement saving system.
