[RED DEMOCRATICA] 30 Years of Advocacy and Still Going Strong

 

Celebrating Thirty Years of Human Rights Activism for Latin America Dear Supporter,                    Every community has its heart. Our LAWG Advocates keep our cause and movement together, moving forward. When we joined with faith-based and local organizations in the 1980’s to organize against the wars in Central America, LAWG embarked on creating a new community; one that was determined in advocating for different policies towards Latin America. Since then LAWG has continued to be at the core of human rights activism and somewhere along the way you decided to join our community of dedicated LAWG Advocates. Thank you. Nothing is possible without supporters like you. As LAWG turns 30 years old this year we want to engage you even more with our campaigns by: advocating on behalf of Afro-descendants and indigenous communities fighting for their land titles in Colombia; amplifying the majority opinion of Cuban-Americans that support normalizing relations with Cuba so that future generations will be able to benefit from engaging with our southern island neighbor; pushing for immigration reform that recognizes the contributions and aspirations of hard-working individuals and families while promoting a thoughtful approach to border security that actively engages border communities. To celebrate our 30 year anniversary we will be bringing you unique content and more advocacy opportunities that are vital to the growth of our movement.
