Dear Colleagues,
The Office of the President of the General Assembly invites you to attend a High-Level Thematic Debate entitled “Culture and Development” to be convened by the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Vuk Jeremic, on Wednesday, 12 June 2013. This one day debate will include an opening segment, keynote addresses, a high–level morning segment, an afternoon panel discussion followed by closing remarks. The programme will soon be available on the website of the Office of the President of the General Assembly.
Date and Time: 12 June 2013, Wednesday / 10.00 am – 6.00 pm
Venue: UN Headquarters, Trusteeship Council Chamber
NGO representatives are invited to attend, as well as to participate during the interactive panel discussions in the afternoon.
NGO representatives who do not hold a UN groundspass must RSVP to ensure access to this event. The deadline for RSVPs is Friday, 7 June 2013, at 6:00pm. Please email info@un-ngls.org, indicating the name and organizational affiliation of participants. The venue has limited capacity and seats will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. An email will follow to interested participants with detailed information on how to receive your Special Event Ticket (SET) to allow access to the event. Please note that the UN Secretariat is unable to provide funding for participation in this event.
The thematic debate will also be webcast and the livestream will be available at http://webtv.un.org/
