Her Contemporary International Affairs class consults the CFR Darfur Crisis Guide to prepare for a UN Security Council simulation and CFR's U.S.-Russia Nuclear Arms Control timeline prior to class discussion on nonproliferation. THE GULF SPILL AND U.S. OIL POLICY Obama's Low-Octane Energy Message CFR's Michael A. Levi analyzes President Obama's address on the oil spill in this First Take. HISTORY OF HEDGE FUNDS More Money Than God In this groundbreaking new book on hedge funds, CFR's Sebastian Mallaby tells the inside story of hedge funds' origins in the 1960s and 1970s, their explosive battles with central banks in the 1980s and 1990s, and their role in the financial crisis of 2007–2009. EDUCATION SECRETARY ARNE DUNCAN AT CFR In a recent CFR meeting, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan discussed the future of U.S. education policy and its implications for international competitiveness and national security.
