Este grupo tiene como finalidad:
1) Desarrollar un plan de trabajo, y foros comunitarios para informar y escuchar a la comunidad inmigrante sobre los proyectos de Reforma Migratoria presentados, creando un calendario de presentaciones y eventos.
2) Iniciar acciones estratégicas lideradas por las organizaciones de las bases
3) Extender esta invitación a otras organizaciones a nivel estatal para formar una fuerte coalición que represente a la comunidad inmigrante.
Esta reunión tiene la siguiente agenda sugerida:
1. Presentacion de nuevos miembros e invitados.
2. Presentacion de la información recolectada sobre la opinión de las bases acerca de las propuestas presentadas por el Presidente y los Senadores sobre una reforma migratoria.
3. Informe de lugares y fechas sugeridas para los foros comunitarias sobre los proyectos de Reforma Migratoria.
4. Informe de las acciones locales, estatales y a nivel nacional. (ejemplo: Marcha del Miercoles de Ceniza del 13 de Febrero, 2013 at 10:00AM organizado por IRATE & First Friends and Pax Christi (Frente a Ellis Island))
5. Revisar y aprobar una carta de la coalición para presentar a los congresistas y Senadores.
6. Informe sobre la identificacion de las organizaciones de base en la zona de los congresistas que estaremos visitando.
7. Presentacion del borrador de cartas para los congresistas del Estado.
8. Acuerdo de fecha y lugar de próxima reunión.

Goals:
1) Develop a work plan, and community forums to inform and listen to the immigrant community about the projects regarding Immigration Reform. (Creating schedule of presentations and events).
2) Initiate strategic actions led by community organizations
3) Extend this invitation to other organizations statewide to form a strong coalition representing the immigrant community.
This meeting will follow the following suggested agenda:
1. Introduction of committee and guests.
2. Presentation of the information gathered on the review of the proposals submitted by the President and the Senate on immigration reform.
3. Inform regarding suggested dates and places for community forums regarding Immigration Reform
4. Information regarding local, state, and national actions. (eg. Ash Wednesday march and vigil on February 13 at 10am in front of Ellis Island organized by IRATE & First Friends and Pax Christi.)
5. Review and approve a letter from the coalition to present Congressmen and Senators.
6. Information regarding community organizations in the area where we will be visiting the congressmen.
7. Submission of draft letters to congressmen of the State.
8. Suggested date and place for the next meeting..
