The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for a political solution to the Syrian crisis and condemning the Syrian government's actions. The vote was 107-12, with 59 countries abstaining. Meanwhile, the UN says more than 80,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Syria.
