UN Foundation initiatives singled out for praise

Two programs by the United Nations Foundation have been singled out by Forbes as among the top 10 social innovations of this year. GivingTuesday is a partnership of 2,500 charities that emphasizes giving, not buying, on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and the Social Good Summit, now in its fourth year, promotes the union of technology and new media to tackle some of the world's biggest problems.
