Conference Description: Latin American Business Association (LABA) of Columbia Business School is proud to present the XV Annual LABA Conference. As in previous years, the conference will bring together prominent leaders, students and members of the community to discuss business, economic and political trends in Latin America.
Over the past century, Latin America has been looking for models for innovation and development in the northern hemisphere – namely in the U.S. and Europe. After a series of economic experiments we’ve arrived at a new paradigm where the future lies south of the border and that is why the 2013 conference theme is: “The Latin American Dream”. In the context of this forum we will explore current trends for innovation and entrepreneurship, financial development, consumer attitudes and infrastructure needs.
