Podesta: Sustainable economic growth is key to ending poverty

The United Nations and the U.S. share the goal of eradicating poverty through sustainable economic growth, writes John Podesta of the Center for American Progress. As the post-2015 development goals are drafted, Podesta argues that "sustainable economic growth is not simply about increasing the size of national economies but about shaping enduring systems and institutions that respect the rights of individuals and give them the tools they need to help lift themselves out of poverty."
