Arizona's H.B. 2281 boldly attempts to stem Hispanic heritage out of education by stating:

Notice the clever bundling of false threats along with patriotic hysteria. The wrapping of bigots around the flag always seems to work.

How exactly do 'overthrow of government' and 'race resentment' become precursors of coursework "designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic group"?
¿Cómo se supone que 'derrocar al gobierno' y 'resentimiento racial' son precursores de cursos "para estudiantes de un grupo étnico en particular"?
What is wrong with "ethnic solidarity"? Last time we checked in the English dictionary the word 'solidarity' had no negative connotations, until now that is.
¿Qué hay de malo con la "solidaridad étnica"? La última vez que revisamos el diccionario la palabra "solidaridad" no tenía connotación negativa alguna, hasta ahora.
What is there to wonder about? Arizona is the state in which "Mexican appearance" makes all Hispanics suspect of being criminal, and also the state in which the Department of Education will terminate teachers whose English it deems to be heavily accented or ungrammatical –sorry professor Albert Einstein.
¿De qué nos sorprendemos? Arizona es el estado donde la "apariencia mexicana" hace de todo hispano sospechoso de ser criminal, así mismo es el estado cuyo Departamento de Educación despedirá a todos los maestros cuyo inglés se considere con fuerte acento o no gramatical, una pena profesor Albert Einstein.
Immigrants and their heritage are not welcome. Notice how Arizona State Representative John Kavanagh regards the issue: "If a burglar breaks into your home, do you serve him dinner? That is pretty much what they do there (in New Mexico) with illegals".
Los inmigrantes y su herencia cultural no son bienvenidos. Notemos cómo el representante del estado de Arizona John Kavanagh considera este tema: "Si un ladrón irrumpe en nuestro hogar ¿le servimos la cena? Eso es los que hacen allá (en Nuevo Mexico) con los ilegales".
"Serving dinner to burglars" is congressman Kavanagh's attempt to disparage New Mexico for bestowing some dignity to the people "ceded" along with their territory back in 1848 by means of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
"Sirviendo la cena a ladrones" es el intento del congresista Kavanagh de ridiculizar a Nuevo México por reconocerles alguna dignidad a la gente "cedida" junto con su territorio allá en 1848 mediante el Tratado Guadalupe Hidalgo.
Arizona rather have us believe that "El Zorro" was an unblemished hero and Mexican president Santa Anna was a mere criminal, all in the name of ignoring Mexico was in fact invaded and forced to "cede" 55% of its territory –today's Arizona, California, New Mexico and parts of Colorado, Nevada and Utah.
Arizona prefiere que creamos que "El Zorro" era un héroe impoluto y que el presidente mexicano Santa Anna era tan solo un criminal, todo en el nombre de ignorar que México fue de hecho invadido y forzado a "ceder" 55% de su territorio, hoy Arizona, California, Nuevo México, y partes de Colorado, Nevada y Utah.
It all makes sense now; supremacist groups ought to be commended for their candor for constantly warning of the "Mexican Invasion" an its purported threat to retake their territory.
Todo tiene sentido ahora, los 'supremacistas' blancos deben ser reconocidos por su candor ya que constantemente denunciaban la "invasión mexicana" y su designio de retomar sus territorios.
No right to solidarity and no right to a heritage, Arizona has reached a new low and America is loosing its way.
No hay derecho a la solidaridad ni a la herencia hispana, Arizona alcanzó un nuevo récord de degradación, y Estados Unidos se está extraviando en el camino.
