ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN DEADLOCK

In this CFR Interview, expert Sari Nusseibeh says the United States should present a two-state "vision" for each side to vote on, in order to break the Israeli-Palestinian impasse. Failing that, Palestinians should press to be absorbed into Israel and given civil rights, even without the right to vote.

FIGHTING CHOLERA IN HAITI

In this CFR Interview, CFR's Laurie Garrett explains that Haiti's cholera outbreak has been exacerbated by unclean water, a subpar sanitation system, and lagging infrastructure repairs; all of which highlight the inadequate global response to the country's January 2010 earthquake.

MIDTERM ELECTIONS AND U.S. FOREIGN POLICY

In this CFR First Take, CFR's James M. Lindsay says the electoral tide that brought Republicans into control of the U.S. House of Representatives could frustrate the Obama administration's efforts on arms control and potentially encourage them on trade.

==> Read this CFR Interview with religion and politics expert John Green, in which he discusses U.S. voter anxiety toward Islam, fears of terrorism, and ongoing national cultural and ethnic changes.
