UN charts trends in drug use, production

Coca production in Colombia and Afghanistan fell in 2010, while output increased in Myanmar and Peru, according to a study released Thursday by the UN Office of Drugs and Crime. The use of cocaine -- the price of which varies greatly among rich countries -- declined in North America, but continued to rise in Europe and South America.
