Jeffrey Feltman, United Nations political affairs chief, told the Security Council on Monday that 2.2 million people, or about one-half of the population, in Central African Republic need humanitarian assistance. UN invites 30 countries to Syrian peace talks, but not Iran
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has invited 30 countries to attend the Syrian peace talks on Jan. 22, including the permanent members of the Security Council and Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan and Iraq.
