First chemical-weapons shipment moves out of Syria
A Danish cargo ship has picked up the first shipment of chemical weapons from the Syrian port of Latakia, the United Nations and Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons say. "I encourage the Syrian government to maintain the momentum to remove the remaining priority chemicals, in a safe and timely manner, so that they can be destroyed outside of Syria as quickly as possible," OPCW Director-General Mehmet Uzumcu says.
