Dear Friend,
Can we really afford more harm to our Gulf? BP Atlantis, one of the world's deepest oil and gas facilities in the world, is currently operating in the Gulf without critical safety documents. I just took action and hope you can too.
According to BP's own "worst-case scenario," an accident from BP Atlantis would be larger than the Horizon spill, dumping more than the equivalent of the Exxon Valdez spill into the Gulf every two days. An investigation was launched in March, but has been the subject of continual delay. As we've seen with the explosion of the Horizon facility and, then, Mariner Energy's platform, we simply cannot afford to go slowly with investigating safety problems at oil and gas facilities.
BP has had enough time to prove that Atlantis is safe, so where is the proof?
