Conference on Undocumented Students, Admissions, and Financial Aid will take place at Rutgers University
INVITATION
Dear Colleague,
I am pleased to invite you to attend a working conference focusing on the unique higher education challenges faced by undocumented students. Although undocumented students are guaranteed an education in U.S. public schools through grade 12, many face legal and financial barriers to higher education. Sponsored by the Lumina Foundation and the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good, host sites for this important conversation on undocumented students include the University of New Mexico; University of California, Los Angeles; Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance in Colorado; Rutgers University; University of Michigan; and the Lumina Headquarters.
The Conference on Undocumented Students, Admissions, and Financial Aid will take place at Rutgers University's New Brunswick campus on February 25, 2011. Special conference presentations will address the legal, educational, psychological, and financial issues faced by undocumented students. A pre-program event with a complimentary dinner featuring Martin Perez, Esq., President, Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey, has been scheduled for February 24, 2011.
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a very informative program that will enable higher education professionals to develop effective strategies for assisting undocumented students and their families. To view the conference agenda, please click the following link:
