Amigos peruanos residentes en UTAH:
 
Como todos conocemos las Fiestas Patrias Peruanas son las celebraciones por la Independencia del Perú despues del dominio de España.
 
Recordemos que el 28 de Julio de 1821 se reúne el Cabildo Abierto de Lima, declarando junto con el pueblo la Independencia del Perú de la dominación española y de cualquier dominación extranjera.

Don José de San Martín (General Argentino) proclama y jura la Independencia del Perú en la Plaza Mayor de Lima con las siguientes palabras:

 

"EL PERÚ DESDE ESTE MOMENTO ES LIBRE E INDEPENDIENTE
POR LA VOLUNTAD GENERAL DE LOS PUEBLOS
Y POR LA JUSTICIA DE SU CAUSA QUE DIOS DEFIENDE
¡VIVA LA PATRIA!
¡VIVA LA LIBERTAD!
¡VIVA LA INDEPENDENCIA!"
