UN vows to continue work in Nigeria in bombing's wake

United Nations officials have condemned a deadly bomb attack on the UN's Nigeria headquarters that left at least 23 people dead and dozens wounded last week, vowing to continue the world body's work in the country. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, observers fear portions of militant group Boko Haram may be seeking cooperation with international terrorist networks. "If the bomb went off at the U.N. compound, then that was the target; there's no chance it could have been intended for another building as there are none nearby. That's clearly why Nigeria's minister of state for foreign affairs told BBC that this constituted an 'act of international terrorism' -- against the international community."
