Alex Segura and Tony Yapias: "Coming together to diminish the fear"

SALT LAKE CITY— Alex Segura, Founder of the Utah Minuteman Project and Tony Yapias of Proyecto Latino de Utah will hold a joint press conference to call on both sides of the debate to cool off and address the issue in a humane manner.
Alex Segura said "we need to address the immigration issue in a reasonable manner and stop feeding the flames of fear" Mr. Segura has become frustrated with the way the local immigration reform groups and some latino leaders are propagating fear within the community due to "the list".
Tony Yapias of Proyecto Latino de Utah said "the debate over immigration has become toxic, and has begun to divide our communities, families, friends and neighbors. Immigration requires a political solution and not individuals taking unnecessary measures into their own hands in an attempt to create fear and discontent"
This press conference comes as a result of the much heated debate over immigration and the way the list of 1300 Latinos names was released to media and government agencies by the "Concern Citizens of the United States"
