Ban retains all 17 proposed Sustainable Development Goals
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets proposed by a United Nations open working group received Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's affirmation on Thursday as he released his synthesis report. The report puts the goals into six "essential elements" -- dignity, people, planet, prosperity, justice and partnership -- meant "to offer conceptual guidance for the work ahead," Ban says.
