UN: 1,375 dead in Iraq last month from violence
Violence in Iraq killed at least 1,375 people during January, said the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq. Of the death toll, 790 were civilians, and 1,469 civilians and 771 security forces were injured. Iraq's 2014 death toll of 12,282 was the highest since 2006-07, the UN said.
