Friend -
I'm about to board a plane to Seoul, South Korea. There, a delegation of national civil and labor rights leaders will tell Hyundai shareholders that their company's decision to brush aside requests to help repeal Alabama's anti-immigrant law, H.B. 56, is unacceptable.
Hyundai has a big manufacturing plant in Alabama and the company is a political powerhouse in the state. But when asked to use their influence to help repeal H.B. 56, they refused. Hyundai has a major interest in marketing their cars to Latino, African-American, Asian-American, immigrant and labor households - the very constituencies they're turning their backs on now.
So we're headed to Seoul to ensure that they get the message. We're hand-delivering petitions from our networks on Friday in South Korea to make sure Hyundai gets the message: there's a growing movement watching and waiting for them to do the right thing.
Will you take a minute to sign the petition? I'll check back in on Friday to let you know how it went!
Send your message to the Hyundai shareholders:

Subject: How you can help Alabama
Adam--
Did you know that Hyundai and Honda have major political power in Alabama? Both automakers have huge manufacturing plants in the state and bring in a ton of money. But Hyundai and Honda have sat on the sidelines as families have been ripped apart right outside their doors.
Hyundai and Honda need our communities to buy their cars -- and now our community needs them.
So how can you -- living in Washington, D.C. -- help to repeal H.B. 56 in Alabama? By putting pressure on Hyundai and Honda to do the right thing.

Big companies like Hyundai and Honda lobby hard to secure tax breaks and other incentives before they decide to move into a state. But when major civil-rights groups asked Hyundai and Honda to help overturn H.B. 56, they refused – they said it wasn’t their problem.
Both companies have spent millions to market Alabama-built cars to Latinos and other communities. To give you a sense of the money at stake: in January alone, Hyundai sold over 25,309 Alabama-built Sonatas and Elantras.[1]
I’ve heard in no uncertain terms from sources inside of the state legislature that if Hyundai and Honda exert their considerable influence, H.B. 56 would be history.
Please tell Hyundai and Honda to put the brakes on hate before we put the brakes on them.
Thanks for your help
