[RED DEMOCRATICA] EVENTS : PASSAIC COUNTY COALITION for IMMIGRANT RIGHTS.

 




Estimados Lideres y Amigos / Dear Leaders and Friends:

 

Reciban mi respetuoso saludo / My respectful greetings to all of you.

 

Despues de las exitosas vigilias y marchas que se reiniciaron en el Estado de Nueva Jersey el 10 de Diciembre del 2009 con la "Marcha por los Derechos Humanos" en Newark y las posteriores: "Ellis Island is Closed" en Jersey City, en el Condado de Passaic "Passaic County March"; la Estatal de Nueva Jersey "Dejen Libre a mi Gente" y las ultimas realizadas en Paterson y Elizabeth el 29 de Julio "La Libertad esta Muriendo en Arizona"; la Coalicion por los Derechos de los Inmigrantes del Condado de Passaic (Passaic County Coalition for Immigrant Rights), esta llamando a todas las personas de alta sensibilidad social -que viven en el Condado- a nuestra proxima reunion que se llevara a cabo el dia Viernes 13 de Agosto en las instalaciones de la Iglesia St Agnes en Paterson. After many successful vigils and marches that re-began in the State of New Jersey on December 10, 2009 with the "March for Human Rights" in Newark; and those that followed: in Jersey City "Ellis Island is Closed", in Passaic County "Passaic County March," the statewide events in NJ "Let my People Go" and the last that was held in Paterson and Elizabeth on July 29th called "Liberty Died in Arizona," the Passaic County Coalition for Immigrant Rights is calling all people, with the highest social sensibility  that lives in the County, to our next meeting that will take place Friday, August 13 in one of the meeting rooms of St. Agnes Church in Paterson. 


Repito, todos los residentes del Condado de Passaic estan invitados a esta reunion. No es una reunion de hispanos solamente, es una reunion de defensores de los derechos civiles. La Iglesia St. Agnes de Paterson esta ubicada en la 681 de la Main Ave. Paterson, NJ 07503 a las 6:30 PM. Nos encontraremos en el parqueo de la iglesia que esta en la calle lateral llamada Hospital Plaza.  I repeat all are invited to the St. Agnes Church in Paterson located on 681 Main Ave, Paterson, NJ 07503 at 6:30pm.  We will meet at the church parking lot that is on the side street called Hospital Plaza. This is not a meeting for Hispanics only but a meeting for all those that defend civil rights. 


La agenda sera la siguiente:

  • Ajuste de la Mision y la Vision de la Coalicion.
  • Formacion de los Comites ejecutivos y estrategicos.
  • Acciones a tomar para continuar protejiendo los derechos y la salud emocional de los inmigrantes en nuestro Condado.
  • Adhesion de organizaciones no hispanas.
  • Respaldo a la Reunion Estatal de Lideres Comunitarios en el tema Inmigracion
The agenda will be as follows:
  • Adjustment of the Mission and the Vision of the Coalition
  • Formation of the Executive and Strategical Committees. 
  • Actions to take to continue protecting the rights and emotional health of the immigrants in our County
  • Adherence of Non-Hispanic organizations
  • Endorsement of a Statewide meeting of Community Leaders regarding the topic of immigration


Por otro lado, sugiero respetuosamente a todas las organizaciones e instituciones defensoras de los derechos civiles (incluidos defensores de los inmigrantes) que realizen una vigilia o dia de oracion por la paz espiritual y la buena voluntad de los grupos anit-inmigrantes que estan demostrando odio e intolerancia hacia otro ser humano. Considero que como grupos que perseguimos el bien, la paz, el amor y el respeto por nuestros semejantes; debemos orar por aquellos que se alejan de un camino espiritual y son invadidos por el odio a su projimo como esta sucediendo con los grupos antiinmigrantes.    On the other hand, I respectfully suggest, -to all the organizations and institutions that are defenders of human rights (including immigrants advocates)- a vigil or a day of prayer for the spiritual peace and good will of the anti-immigrant groups that are showing hatred and intolerance to other human beings.  I believe that we as groups pursue the good, peace, love and respect for our fellow men; we must pray for those that have turned away from a spiritual path and are invaded by hate to their neighbor as it is happening with anti-immigrant groups. 

Es importante, la difusion de esta accion de parte de los medios de comunicacion; de esta manera, la opinion publica y principalmente los grupos antiinmigrantes, sabran que estamos dedicandoles un dia de oracion; que no estamos devolviendo con odio las acciones negativas que estan realizando, que estamos tratando de entender sus razones sin compartirlas y que buscaremos en el futuro un camino de conciliacion o de una frontal y abierta via de discusion para encontrar soluciones, las mismas que nuestros lideres politicos no han sido capaces de encontrar. Tenemos que agotar todos los medios -en armonia- para buscar un entendimiento entre seres racionales y evitar que se mantenga este clima de intolerancia que esta existiendo en nuestro pais. Lo digo como ciudadano de este pais, orgulloso de ser americano y de nuestra historia donde se encontraron vias para terminar con la discriminacion racial y protejer los derechos humanos en tods sus dimensiones.  It is important, to broadcast this action in part to the media, so this way, the public opinion and mainly the anti-immigrant groups, will know that we are dedicating them a day of prayer.  That we are not returning with hatred, the negative actions that they have been carried out, we are trying to understand their reasons without sharing them and we are seeking in the future a path to reconciliation or a frontal and open way of discussion to find solutions, the same that our political leaders have been incapable of finding.
