The United Nations has received about two-thirds of the $1.5 billion pledged to help the fight Ebola, says Dr. David Nabarro, a senior UN official for the Ebola response. Ban, Security Council urge end to hostilities in Yemen
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council on Tuesday separately called for violence in Yemen between Houthi rebels and the government to end. All parties in Yemen should "exercise maximum restraint, and take the necessary steps to restore full authority to the legitimate government institutions," said Stephane Dujarric, a UN spokesman.
