[RED DEMOCRATICA] Coments.: Make humane immigration reform a priority

Humildemente,

Ask the President to make immigration reform a top priority.

Take action

Dear David,

Please help us convince President Obama to live up to his promise to reform U.S. immigration policies this year.

Urge him to provide principled and visionary leadership on immigration – and to support policies that protect human rights and keep families together.

The Obama administration has taken steps to ensure transparency and accountability in immigration enforcement and recently granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Haitians living in the U.S., but we are concerned that President Obama made only a passing reference to immigration issues in his recent State of the Union address.

We need to let the president know that immigration must continue to be a priority for his administration. Humane immigration policy is a human rights issue that can no longer wait.

Please take a moment to send a letter to the president now.

We know the voices of the engaged public do affect government decision-making. Most recently, your emails and letters helped secure the release of Jean Montrevil from immigration detention and ensured that Haitians in the U.S. were granted TPS.

Please take action now.

Salud
