Dear Friends, Members and Associates of USLA,
I hope this message finds all of you doing well and that you and your
families were safe during the passing of hurricane Sandy.
I am pleased to confirm the invitation to our upcoming USLA Session
featuring Dr. Gabriel Negretto who is an Associate Professor of Political
Studies at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas
(CIDE) in Mexico City, and a Tinker Visiting Professor at the Institute of
Latin American Studies at Columbia University.
Our seminar will gather this Thursday November 1st, 2012 at 7 pm in the
Tannenbaum Room, 802 of the International Affairs Building located on 118th
St. and Amsterdam Avenue.
Attached you will find a document detailing the information about the
Seminar that includes a brief bio of Dr. Negretto and an abstract for the
topic of this Seminar:
CONSTITUTIONAL TRANSFORMATIONS AND DEMOCRACY IN LATIN AMERICA
For those of you who have confirmed your attendance to dinner at Faculty
House prior to the Seminar, you will receive an email from me tomorrow
confirming that Faculty House will in fact be open. If you plan on no longer
attending the dinner for any circumstance, please be sure to notify me via
