Amigos:
Despite the fact that 25% of all Broward County residents are Hispanics, we only have four elected officials representing our community. Of our 288 public schools, only 15 of our principals are Hispanic. There is no high ranking Hispanic senior executive serving today either in Broward County Government or the Broward County School Board. Three of our Hispanic judges, all of them rated among the very best judges that Broward had, were defeated last year in favor of candidates without a fraction of their experience or qualifications.
Why is this happening? Because the Broward Hispanic community does not come out to vote in greater numbers. Sin el voto no hay respeto. Sin el voto no hay prosperidad.
If you are proud to be a Hispanic American, if you honor the sacrifices we made, and those of our parents to make it here in this country, in honor of the many that today struggle here but can't vote, I ask you to do that simple but most important task that every good American citizen does. Vote. Do not take your liberty for granted.
Vote! But if possible vote for our Hispanic candidates, in our candidates you will find Integrity, experience and honesty
