Security Council resolution on Crimea vetoed by Russia
Russia vetoed the Security Council resolution on Saturday that declared the Ukrainian region of Crimea's referendum to be illegal. Thirteen Security Council members voted for the resolution, which recognized Ukraine's "sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity," and China abstained.
